Hi gals!
Currently on my way to Nash for a much needed girls trip and thinking about the favorite parts of my new apartment that has become my home. My mind goes to the most cozy little balcony I have made for sitting out and having a glass of wine with my girlfriends… or even reading a book or having a cup of coffee in the morning.
The best part about this little set up is the fact I didn’t have to buy a single piece to make it cute cozy and special.. ok fine I bought one piece – the $20 tea lights I put out there. But I swear that’s it.
When I moved into my new place I actually wanted to give my living room a refresh. So in order to keep my budget in check I got 3 new cream pillows for my couch and chair, tying in with a few of my old couch pillows and blankets I previously had. I have always had a thing for fuzzy cozy blankets so I have a few extra on hand in a basket to throw out when I have guests.
But back to the cozy patio set-up.. so using a few of my old couch decorative pillows tied with some of the extra blankets I am able to make a cozy corner for out on my patio. I remake this set up depending on the occasion. For example, during Christmas if I’m having guests or doing a shoot and want to be a little extra – I will throw in some Christmas themed decor. Most recently tying in a cute vase of pampas and a decorative baby Christmas tree. Cream/white pillows are the easiest for matching decor with – since they are neutral and you can tie in color pops through the blankets, books, candles, etc.

Bringing some decorative books or candles out.. a charcuterie board for setting wine glasses on gives the cutest cozy little atmosphere – plus some convenient places for food or drinks. Add some little plants to this set up and boom you have the cutest coziest little set up for girlfriends or a fun date night. I mean the sunset is a huge bonus for me – making this little area almost magical. But even without a magical sunset set up, you could still create the cutest and most cozy ambiance with the use of a smaller area, some fluffy pillows and a couple great blankets. Plus a bottle of wine and charcuterie set up makes everything aesthetic..

Just an idea for y’all.. and proof you don’t always have to spend a ton of money on patio furniture to make an area special. You can take it from me that the versatility of getting to make this area exactly what I want for each occasion – keeps it fun and makes it the coziest place in my home currently 🌿
